Ukrainian sailors released from the Russian Federation and prisoners who lost their documents while being in captivity have already received new foreign passports and ID cards of a Ukrainian citizen. This was announced by the press service of the State Migration Service of Ukraine.

"For convenience and promptness (efficiency) of the registration process of the new documents with the help of the Citizens Service Center «Passport Service» State Migration Service of Ukraine organized the departure of a mobile point to the places where the released Ukrainians are treated", the message says.

The implementation of this initiative was made possible due to the close interaction between the leadership of the Migration Service, the Authorized Human Rights Representative of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Lyudmila Denisova, as well as the prompt and accurate work of the Central Interregional Directorate of State Migration Service of Ukraine and the Citizens Service Center «Passport Service» employees involved in the process of registration of the new documents.

On September 7, there was an exchange of prisoners between Kyiv and Moscow within the "35 to 35" formula. 24 sailors, journalist Roman Sushchenko, director Oleg Sentsov, Oleksandr Kolchenko, Pavlo Gryb, Stanislav Klykh, Mykola Karpyuk, Volodymyr Balukh, Yevgen Panov, Arthur Panov, Edem Bekirov and Mykola Sizanovich returned to Ukraine.
