‘We plan to get the decision of the committee on the construction of Nord Stream-2 on Thursday. This claim was filed at the initiative of People’s Front Party. I hope it will be worked out and supported by the committee’, Paruby said.
He expressed the conviction that the Ukrainian parliament should urgently respond about the inadmissibility of the construction of the Nord Stream-2.
As we reported Germany approved the construction of the Nord Stream II pipeline section on its territory.
Russia’s leading energy enterprise Gazprom and its partners intend to start implementing the Nord Stream-2 project worth almost 10 billion euros in April 2018. The 1,200-kilometers-long pipeline is to be laid through the Baltic Sea, linking Russia and Germany – bypassing Ukraine, Poland and the Baltic States. The capacity will be twice larger than that of Nord Stream I. The construction is to be complete by late 2019.
The construction of gas pipeline Nord Stream 2 doesn’t imply terminating the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine, but the transit can be preserved only through competitive tariffs and canceling the Ukrainian lawsuits against Gazprom.
