Ukrainian parliament intends to establish Bureau of Economic Security

Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has supported a draft law № 3087-d on the establishing of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine. 245 MPs voted in its favor.

The draft law envisages the establishment of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine as a state law enforcement body, which is tasked with preventing, detecting, terminating, investigating, and containing criminal offenses under its jurisdiction. The Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine is formed by the President of Ukraine.

The bureau starts its activity from the moment of staffing 30%. (1200 people).

As we reported earlier, on September 1, the Ukrainian parliament announced the opening of the fourth session of the ninth convocation.

"I declare the fourth session of the Verkhovna Rada of the IX convocation open," said Verkhovna Rada Speaker Dmytro Razumkov.

According to the previously adopted resolution, the parliament will begin its work on September 1 and will work until January 22, 2021.
