Ukrainian officials become new target of Russian sanctions

The head of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE and deputies from the Servant of the People party are included in the sanctions list

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov, his first deputy Ruslan Stefanchuk and a number of other MPs from the Servant of the People party became new targets of Russian sanctions. This information is contained in the appendix to the decree of the Russian government, published on thier website.

Russia's "special economic measures" have taken effect against the head of Ukraine's delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Yelyzaveta Yasko. The Russian "black list" also included deputies of the Verkhovna Rada from the Servant of the People faction Maksym Buzhansky, Olha Vasylevska-Smahlyuk, Andriy Herus, Oleksander Kachura and Geo Leros.

In total, the list of persons subject to sanctions by the Russian government consists of 849 persons.

As we reported earlier, in 2018 Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed an order which imposes sanctions against a list of physical and legal entities of Ukraine.

322 Ukrainians and 38 companies were included in the list.
