For 11 months of this year, Ukrainian nuclear power plants produced 52% of all electricity, which is absolutely comparable to the figures of previous years. Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal reported that on Facebook.
At the same time, the prime minister noted that next year, Ukraine will for the first time refuse to store spent nuclear fuel in Russia. This will save Ukrainian taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars.
Also, according to the minister, as of 23.12 the general fund of the state budget has already been fulfilled by 100%. By the end of the year, budget revenues will be significantly exceeded. Compared to last year, the tax authorities end the year with an increase in fees. Shmyhal added that as of 23.12, there were more than UAH 60 billion (2,1 billion USD) in the Single Treasury Account, and this is an absolute record for that date. All salary debts to miners have been paid, funds for the purchase of vaccines have been allocated, additional payments to Ukrainians, whose activities will be terminated due to the "winter break quarantine", are already being implemented.
186 km long power line of Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant connected Zaporizhzhia NPP and new substation Kakhovska, providing a stable source of electricity supply to the south of Ukraine.
Thanks to its launch, it became possible to export electricity from Zaporizhzhia NPP to Romania, which is one of the important milestones on the way of Ukraine's integration into the European ENTSO-e network. Ukraine’s Prime Minister Denys Shmygal stated this at the ceremony of opening of a new power line and substation, as 112.ua correspondent reports.
