A resident of Zhytomyr region (northern Ukraine) has been extradited from Cyprus to Ukraine; prior to this, he spent more than a year on the international wanted list. Press office of Ukraine's National Police reported that on Tuesday evening.

The case was opened in February 2020. The 31-year-old culprit was taken from Boryspil airport to the Main Department of the National Police in Rivne region, northern Ukraine. The police will investigate into this case.

The detainee had recruited two ladies from Rivne region and for further transit over Ukraine's border and sexual slavery in one of the European countries. He searched women who suffered from severe personal and other issues and sought better life abroad.

The investigators suspected the culprit in absentia. However, the suspect fled from justice. They put him on the national, and then international search. The policemen found out that the wrongdoer left Ukraine and went to Denmark. Eventually, they managed to detain him in Larnaka, Cyprus, thanks to clear cooperation between the operatives of migration policy and investigators.
