MP of Voice political party Svyatoslav Vakarchuk wrote a statement on the withdrawal from the faction. The corresponding statement was read by the Speaker of the Parliament Dmytro Razumkov during the plenary session, the online broadcast of which was conducted by 112 Ukraine TV channel.
As Vakarchuk was elected on the party list, instead of on the majority, he should be deprived of a deputy mandate.
Yesterday, on June 18, Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine did hot support his resignation letter - only 175 MPs voted for the relevant resolution.
It is worth noting that Vakarchuk stated about discarding his mandate on June 14.
As we reported earlier, Svyatoslav Vakarchuk was the MP twice at VI and IX convocations. In 2007, he occupied 15th number at the list of the Our Ukraine–People's Self-Defense Bloc and got the parliamentarian mandate but discarded it in a year.
In March 2020, he handed over the leadership to MP Kira Rudyk. The MP refused from the active participation in the party’s activity to have more time to ‘unite and develop’.
