Circumstances of death
According to the Kyiv city prosecutor's office, according to the autopsy results, Polyakov died of acute coronary insufficiency, acute coronary heart disease.
The police found that the man became ill on the way to the taxi. Ambulance doctors tried to resuscitate him on the spot, but they did not succeed. As a result, they ascertained the death of the MP.
At the moment, law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident, including the cause of death.
Criminal proceedings have begun under Part 1 of Art. 115 ("Intentional Murder") marked "Natural Death".
Who is Anton Polyakov?
Ukrainian politician, businessman, and public figure, MP of the IX convocation (electoral district No. 206, Chernihiv).
Polyakov was 33 years old, he was born on November 11, 1987, in Chernihiv. In 2004 he graduated from the Chernihiv Collegium No. 11 and later did military service in the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Odesa, where he was engaged in the protection of rolling stock when transporting prisoners.
Polyakov in politics
He became a MP from the Servant of the People party, winning the 2019 parliamentary elections in electoral district No. 206 (part of the Novozavodsky district of Chernihiv, Repkinsky, and Chernigovsky districts).
He was a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Anti-Corruption Policy, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Compliance with Anti-Corruption Legislation in the Field of Reforming the Defense Industry Complex.
During his activity, he initiated almost 100 bills, spoke from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada more than 100 times.
In November 2019, he was expelled from the Servant of the People faction. Position of the faction: "For violation of agreements on a joint position on those issues on which the faction has developed a common position." Officially, Polyakov's exclusion from the faction was announced on December 3, 2019.
Two weeks later, on December 19, Anton Polyakov applied to quit the Servant of the People party.
"I filed today an application to quit the SN party. In fact, this is just a formality for me, but I had to do it. I can't be in a party where there are push buttons, gun lovers, and leaders who are involved in this and that's it. it is covered," he said.
And he noted that he went into politics to "fight the old regime, and not to become its follower."
In June 2020, Anton Polyakov, along with another three MPs, became a member of the parliamentary "Za Maybutnie” group.
