The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (MFA) condemned the arson of the Hungarian Culture Association office in the Transcarpathian region. This was reported in the press service of the Foreign Ministry.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine resolutely condemns the arson of the premises of the Hungarian Culture Association in Transcarpathia, condemning the use of the theme of national minorities as a means of inciting ethnic hatred from the outside. Ukraine will further resolutely oppose all attempts to undermine the domestic political situation in the state, including through interethnic relations, " reads the message.
The department added that the law enforcement agencies have already begun an investigation and are taking all necessary measures to promptly resolve this crime.
We recall, on the night of February 27 in Uzhgorod, the building of the Society of Hungarian Culture was set on fire. Fire damaged 25 square meters of the building area. No casualties reported. Later, the Ukrainian ambassador in Budapest was summoned to the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs because of an attack on the office of Hungarian Culture Association.
