The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is concerned about the movement of Russian military equipment through the territory of the unrecognized Transnistria, which took place on June 14. This is reported on the Foreign Ministry website.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine expresses its concern over the actions of the Russian Federation regarding the violation of the regime of the Transnistrian conflict zone, in particular the unauthorized transfer on June 14, 2018 of military equipment and weapons of the Operational Group of Russian Forces in the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova, accompanied by unrecognized "law enforcement agencies", the report said.

Ukraine stated that Russia violated its obligations in the process of the Transnistrian settlement.

"Russia's failure to fulfill its obligations undermines confidence between the participants in the negotiation process and creates an atmosphere of tension in the regional dimension," the Foreign Ministry said.

Let us note that Transnistria is a self-proclaimed state, which the international community recognizes as part of Moldova. The independence of it is only partially recognized by the republics of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, as well as by the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.

A contingent of Russian armed forces is stationed on the territory of Transnistria.
