We respond to all these possible threats by strengthening our forces and means, which are in close proximity to the state border of Ukraine. We are in contact with our Polish colleagues from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Poland. Our goal is to ensure tight coordination of our efforts,” Yenin said.
He noted that the border will be under the control of more than 8,000 servicemen.
“I would like to note that about 8,500 servicemen will ensure the security of our border. This is the State Border Service, the National Guard, the National Police. The national police have already been put on high alert in four regions bordering on Belarus. Police actively communicate with the population, warning about possible penetration of certain groups of illegal migrants. Police ask to inform the law enforcement agencies about the possible appearance of unknown persons in the border areas," Deputy Interior Minister said.
Moreover, Yevhen Yenin noted that the technical means that control the border of Ukraine will also be checked.
