According to Nemchinov, the lockdown will be introduced throughout the country if medical institutions are overcrowded with coronavirus patients.
"If we come to the medical lockdown, a full lockdown will be introduced for the whole country," the minister said.
As we reported earlier, according to the head of the State Consumer Service of Kyiv Oleh Ruban, the introduction of the weekend lockdown should give a result in two-three weeks, otherwise, a total lockdown is possible.
"The weekend quarantine is one of the steps towards a complete lockdown. If it does not give an effective result, then, indeed, Ukraine will need to declare a total lockdown," the official emphasized.
It was also noted that the weekend lockdown showed different results in different countries.
The weekend lockdown was imposed by the Cabinet of Misters on November 11.
