The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated one billion hryvnias (34,9 million dollars) from the coronavirus control fund to purchase rapid coronavirus tests (a test that determines whether a person has had Covid-19 or not). This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmygal during a government meeting.
"We are talking about the purchase of two million rapid tests, their results can be obtained in just a few minutes. This decision is one of many that we take every week in order to support our medical system," he announced.
It is worth noting that Slovakia is going to launch a pilot project for Covid-19 antigen testing on the border with Ukraine. It is scheduled to begin on November 9. The tests will be run by a private company.
As we reported earlier, Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko said that there were no plans to test the American vaccine against coronavirus.
"According to my information, a clinical study of immunobiological drugs in Ukraine has not yet been registered," the official noted.
