Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers has extended the lockdown until June 22. It has also been decided to begin the second phase of quarantine easing starting from May 22. The broadcast was provided by the government's YouTube channel.
Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov stated that the regions were introducing signs of an epidemic situation. Accordingly, the number of coronavirus infections over the last seven days should not exceed 12 people per 100,000 of the population.
In addition, the occupancy rate of hospital beds, allocated for coronavirus-infected, should not exceed 50%.
Starting from May 22, urban, suburban and intra-regional public transport will be resumed in Ukraine.
As we reported earlier, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal stated that the recommencement of Ukraine's air connection was likely to take place in June.
"Air connection is likely to be restored in June," he said.
Shmygal noted that it would be executed considering the examples of other countries that would also reinitiate their air connections.
