"Ukraine will be able to receive eight million doses in the second quarter of 2021. In addition, the government and the Ministry of Health are constantly negotiating with global companies to purchase additional batches of effective and proven vaccine," said Shmygal.

As we reported earlier, Head of the World Health Organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus assured that the vaccine against coronavirus would not stop the ongoing pandemic if people did not follow the quarantine restrictions.

Since the beginning of the COVID19 pandemic, we knew that a vaccine would be essential for bringing the pandemic under control. But it is important to emphasize that a vaccine will complement the other tools we have, not replace them,” he stated.
