The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has distributed 66 billion hryvnias (2,3 billion dollars) from the COVID-19 Acute Respiratory Disease Response Fund. This was reported by Ukraine’s Finance Ministry.

"As of July 24, 2020, the government has distributed 66 billion hryvnias (2,3 billion dollars) from the COVID-19 Acute Respiratory Disease Response Fund in priority areas. Thus, the amount of funds allocated from the Fund has reached the Fund's budget approved by the state budget for 2020," the message reads.

573 million dollars have been allocated for the health care system, in particular for providing medical workers with personal protective equipment, for paying them higher salaries, and purchasing the necessary equipment for hospitals.

1,2 billion dollars will be used in the reconstruction, repair, and maintenance of roads.

As we reported earlier, Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova asked the Cabinet of Ministers to allocate 14.5 million hryvnias (over 533,000 dollars) from the COVID-19 Acute Respiratory Disease Response Fund

Thus, 368,000 dollars would be used to renovate an office building. This amount is justified by the reduction of the cost of major repairs planned for 2020.
