The Cabinet of Ministers has no authority to ban religious activities until a state of emergency is declared in the country. This was announced by Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleh Nemchinov on the air of Ukraine 24 channel.
"Holding of religious events is regulated by the Constitution, we cannot prohibit it without imposing a state of emergency. During the services, the requirements regarding the number of participants, distance, and use of personal protective equipment must be observed," the minister said.
It is worth noting that Ukraine might impose a full lockdown if medical institutions are overcrowded with coronavirus patients.
"If we come to the medical lockdown, a full lockdown will be introduced for the whole country," the statement said.
As we reported earlier, according to the World Health Organization, approximately 70% of the world’s population should be immunized to ensure the end of the pandemic.
"No company that is investigating will be able to immediately have doses for everyone," reads the message.
