The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the concept of economic development of Donbas. This was reported by Prime Minister Denys Shmygal on his Telegram channel.

"The government has approved the concept of economic development of Donetsk and Luhansk regions," wrote the official.

According to him, these territories need additional incentives that will create a platform for attracting investments. In particular, it is about development in the direction of the economy's real sector, industrialization, the development of critical infrastructure and logistics, etc.

"This is the framework for the economic restoration of these territories. The concept will form the basis of the corresponding strategy," Shmygal added.

As we reported earlier, on December 4, the Ukrainian Parliament extended the law on the special order of local self-government in certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions for another year - until December 31, 2021.
