Ukraine’s Cabinet of Minister appointed Deputy Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko as the Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine. This was reported by Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk.
"We have appointed Mr. Viktor Lyashko as the chief sanitary and epidemiologist of the country. From now on, this person will personally coordinate the actions of the state authorities and all necessary services in order to qualitatively organize the work on prevention of penetration of the virus into Ukraine’s territory," he said.
According to him, this decision was made in order to strengthen the system that would prevent the penetration of the new Chinese coronavirus into the territory of Ukraine.
As we reported earlier, the first case of infection with Chinese coronavirus has been observed in Romania. The information was provided by Reuters with reference to the local TV.
According to the media, the infected man came back to Romania from Italy three weeks ago. The patient is now at the infectious disease hospital in Bucharest.
