Heads of German and Ukrainian defense departments met on sidelines of Munich Conference

February 15, in the framework of the 56th Munich Security Conference, Ukrainian Minister of Defense Andriy Zahorodniuk met with his German counterpart Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer. The press service of the Ukrainian defense department reports.

In particular, Zahorodniuk thanked his colleague for the efforts of the FRG in the framework of the "Norman format" to end the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and restore the country's territorial integrity.

The interlocutors discussed a safe situation in the region. In particular, the Ukrainian minister informed Kramp-Karrenbauer about the current situation in the area of ​​rebuffing and containing Russian armed aggression in eastern Ukraine.

Zahorodniuk expressed hope for receiving military-political support in the issue of Ukraine becoming a NATO partner with advanced capabilities
