Ukraine has sent a note of protest to the Russian Federation

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine condemns conducting exercises of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in annexed Crimea. The press service of the Foreign Ministry reports it.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine considers the illegal exercises of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation, which began on August 10, 2020, in the territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation, to be another evidence of the Russian Federation's open disregard for the norms and principles of international law, including the UN Charter. resolutions of the UN General Assembly, as well as the current legislation of Ukraine," the message said.

The Foreign Ministry claims that these exercises threaten regional and European security. Ukraine condemns the actions aimed at further militarization of the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Sevastopol.

Ukraine calls on the Russian Federation to stop internationally wrongful acts against the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. A corresponding note of protest has been sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
