Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said that in the first five months of this year, Ukrainian exports increased by more than 25%. He wrote about this on Facebook.

"In the first five months of this year, Ukrainian exports increased by more than 25%, or almost $ 5 billion. Exports to China, the USA, Turkey, and the UK grew by almost 50%. The favorable external environment, as well as the expansion of the export geography through the support of Ukrainian business, have given such a remarkable result, "the message says.

He also noted that, according to the National Bank, in April 2021, the Basic Industries Production Index increased by 18%. Since the beginning of the year (January - April), it has increased by 1.5%.

"By the way, the Oxford Economics company noted in its latest report that it is the industrial growth that becomes the turning point, which will lead to the growth of Ukraine's GDP by almost 5% this year. The growth forecast has been improved from 4% to 4.9%," the prime minister said.

On May 29, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said that the Ukrainian economy began to recover after the crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. In the first four months of this year, the industry and retail trade showed significant growth.
