Ukraine's Foreign Ministry instructed the embassies in Switerland and Japan to look into the recently released image of Crimea separated from Ukraine with a border. The picture appeared on the official website of Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Oleg Nikolenko, the spokesman of Ukraine's Foreign Ministry reported that in a commentary for UNN news agency.
The error can be seen in the Olympics-Cheer Zone popup. There is a border between mainland Ukraine and Crimea. The error has not yet been corrected.
As it was reported earlier, the Olympic Games in Tokyo were supposed to take place in the summer of 2020. But due to the coronavirus pandemic, the games were postponed for a year. The Olympics will run from July 23 to August 8, 2021.
