The Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation adopted a resolution on the participation of the Ukrainian delegation in the January session in PACE. Chairman of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE Yelyzaveta Yasko stated this on Facebook.
"The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation reviewed my draft Statement of the Parliament of Ukraine" On the participation of the Permanent Delegation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in the work of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in 2020 "and supported this document, recommending that it be considered in the session hall of the Verkhovna Rada," she wrote.
According to her, the Ukrainian delegation should go to Strasbourg to fight there for Ukraine and European values for the Council of Europe itself.
“We understand that it will not be easy there. But the new delegation has a new strategy and a constructive program of action for the PACE winter session,” Yasko said.
As we reported, the Ukrainian delegation officially refused from participation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe autumn session due to Russia’s return.
