Maria Mezentseva, an MP of the Servant of the People political faction, has been elected the new head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). This was announced by a member of Ukraine's permanent delegation to the PACE, Deputy Chairman of the Servant of the People faction Evhenia Kravchuk on Facebook.
"Europe faces new challenges, the world finds itself in a new reality. Therefore, our delegation is also changing its approaches and its strategy to keep up with the times and meet the challenges that our country and the world will be dealing with in 2021 ... It is a certain change of the delegation's paradigm, change of its strategic approach, so we collectively decided that we would entrust this new strategy to Maria Mezentseva, who is already well known in the PACE and other delegations and diplomatic circles," wrote Kravchuk.
Thus, Mezentseva will officially replace Elizaveta Yasko, who will continue to work as a member of the delegation.
As we reported earlier, on Tuesday, January 12, President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky are expected to sign a number of bilateral documents.
