Ukrainian biometric IDs to go up in price since January 1

On January 1, 2021, state enterprise printing plant Ukraina will increase the price of blanks of biometric IDs. Press office of Ukraine's State Migration Service reported that on December 31.

The overall price of domestic passports, foreign passports and residence permits, both temporary and permanent will go up.

The price of domestic passport will make 12.96 U.S. dollars (with casual deadline), or 17.46 USD (if requested to be ready within 10 work days).

The foreign passport will cost a citizen 24.78 (with casual deadline) or 37.35 USD (if requested to be ready within seven work days).

The temporary residence permit will make 326.96 U.S. dollars; the permanent document will cost the applicant 26.85 dollars.

As we reported earlier, since March 2020, the Ukrainians without foreign passports are not allowed to cross the Ukrainian-Russian border. On September 1, 2020 similar measure began to concern Ukrainian citizens who travel to Belarus.
