Ukraine’s Armed Forces will gradually prepare to adopt the Javelins, the U.S.-made anti-tank missile launchers. Viktor Muzhenko, the chairman of Ukraine’s General Staff of the Armed Forces posted this on Facebook.

The supplies of U.S. lethal weaponry will take place in accordance with the respective articles of 2018 U.S. defense budget. The document foresees that Ukraine will get 350 million dollars of assistance in the defense and security sector; it also allows the supplies of defensive lethal arms. The funds will also cover the needs of Ukraine’s Air Force, Navy and boost the training programs for combat medics.

Javelin is the American man-portable missile launchers. It is designed to take down the enemy ground vehicles, drones and helicopters. The price of one unit, including the payload of six missiles, makes 1.3 million U.S. dollars.
