Ukrainian Ambassador to Belarus Ihor Kyzym returned to Minsk after consultations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. This was reported to Radio Liberty at the Ukrainian Embassy in Belarus.
"When asked how the relations between Kyiv and Minsk will continue to be built, Ambassador Ihor Kyzym replied: As Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has already noted, official contacts between our countries are "paused," the message reads.
At the same time, further development of Belarusian-Ukrainian relations will depend on many factors, in particular, on the development of the situation directly in Belarus, as well as integration processes within the framework of the Union State of Belarus and Russia.
As we reported before, Foreign Ministry of Ukraine has recalled Ambassador in Belarus Ihor Kyzym for consultations in Kyiv to assess the prospects of the Ukrainian-Belarusian relations.
“I have made a decision to recall Ambassador of Ukraine to Belarus Ihor Kyzym for consultations in Kyiv to assess the prospects of the Ukrainian-Belarusian relations in the new reality,” Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba stated.
