Ambassador of Ukraine in Germany Andrij Melnyk called the visit of a few German politicians to annexed Crimea an “irresponsible voyage”, as he wrote on his Twitter.

According to Melnyk, the visit of the representatives of the Alternative for Germany political party may have “unfortunate consequences”.

“The irresponsible voyage of a few local-scale politicians from  Alternative for Germany to illegally occupied Crimea may have very unfortunate legal consequences for these no-good deputies. Too bad that our warnings are still not taken seriously. Well, we’ll see,” Melnyk wrote.

Since Ukraine and most of the world don’t recognize the annexation of Crimea, any trip to the peninsula not through Ukrainian territory is a violation of Ukraine’s borders and may result in a ban to enter Ukraine.
