Ukraine’s Air Force officer Nadiya Savchenko and Dmytro Yarosh (in the photo's centre), former leader of the ultranationalist movement Right Sector, met in Donbas, not far from the frontline in Donetsk region. They visited fellow Ukrainian soldiers and held negotiations with Pavlo Malykhin (to the left from Yarosh, - 112 International), leader of military and civilian administration of Avdiivka town.  Savchenko also tested a Ukraine-made experimental weapon at a firing range near Avdiivka; the gun so far is only available in a single copy.

Answering questions about prospects of Ukraine’s offensive in Donbas, Savchenko said she supported the idea to lead the military actions by deploying and using saboteur and reconnaissance groups. She also advocated for closing the state border with Russia and cutting Russia’s influence on the militants in eastern Ukraine.
