Counter-terrorism operations and the release of hostages will be tasks of Dozor (Russian for 'patrol', - 112 International), the detached rapid response team of Ukraine’s State Border Guard, as they will soon join the Cord Challenge, the military drills slated for the end of this month.
The team will compete with other special forces units in various combat disciplines, like fire training, tactical and medical training. The fighters will get the access to all the necessary resources for the period of the drills, so that they can practice in specific - and often tough - conditions.
Cord Challenge is supposed to begin on September 26 and will be running till September 28.
Earlier, Ukraine sent 270 special operations soldiers to serve in the units on Azov and Black Sea.
