Ukraine’s regulatory committee refers to Parubiy to lift immunity of Novinsky

The regulatory committee of the Ukrainian Parliament left to the discretion of the head of the Verkhovna

Rada Andriy Parubiy to lift immunity of the MP Vadym Novinsky. The relative decision was taken during the committee meeting with six votes for and one vote against lifting immunity, broadcasted be 112 Ukraine TV channel.

Previously the decision was postponed by the committee and decided to request for additional materials from the General Prosecutor of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko.

Committee also decided “extend the period of consideration of granting consent to criminal prosecution of deputy Vadym Novinsky until the written response from the General Prosecutor of Ukraine is given.”

Earlier it was reported that MP from the Opposition block party, the main beneficiary of the "Smart-Holding" Vadym Novinsky received 105 million UAH of dividends in 2015, according to the electronic declaration. His electronic declaration contains 79 companies, of which he is the ultimate beneficial owner. 33 of them have Head office registered in Cyprus, the Virgin Islands, the Netherlands, Jersey, Australia.
