‘No country has ever carried out reforms in such stressful conditions. There are both external factors such as Russian aggression and domestic problems in Ukraine. Our goal is sweeping institutional changes. We see some of these changes now – in the police, in the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, in courts and state-run enterprises’, the Ukrainian official said.
He added that the changes are visible, thanks to joint actions of all branches of power and the civil society. Shymkiv also noted that in many countries, the changes only become visible in three to six years.
