Prosecutor General of Ukraine Ruslan Ryaboshapka stated that there are no final results in the investigation of wiretapping of Ukraine’s Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk as 112 Ukraine reported.
“Considering the wiretapping of prime minister of Ukraine, the investigation is held by the SBU, we listened to this proceeding last week. There are no final results yet. I believe, that about, possibly, a week or two, as our colleagues reported, we will be able to have the result about which we will report to the president and society,” Ryaboshapka said.
On January 15, Honcharuk found himself in the wiretapping scandal; Ukrainian media leaked the embarrassing conversation among Honcharuk, ministers of his Cabinet, members of the President's Office and National Bank officials. The interlocutors discussed the ways how to explain President Zelensky's pros and cons of the declining dollar exchange rate. Apparently, the officials referred to Zelensky's poor economic education.
Later, the State Security Administration of Ukraine stated that information about the leakage of wiretapping records of the meeting with Ukraine’s Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk is not true.
