Prime Minister Denys Shmygal and President of the European Council Charles Michel discussed the implementation of the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement during their meeting on the eve of the meeting of the EU-Ukraine Association Council. Shmygal reported it on his Facebook page.
"I met with the like-minded President of the European Council Charles Michel. We shared our expectations from the forthcoming meeting and discussed prospects for further cooperation. We look forward to agreeing on a specific timeframe for the launch of a comprehensive review of the Association Agreement. Implementation of the Agreement is a basis for linking the economies of Ukraine and the EU," said Shmygal.
According to him, the meeting of the Association Council is expected to ensure progress in the further development of Ukraine's economic integration into the EU.
Besides, Michel promised to visit Ukraine this year.
As we reported earlier, the European Union has promised to help Ukraine obtain coronavirus vaccines as soon as possible.
"It is emphasized that Ukraine can count on the solidarity of the European Union in obtaining a vaccine against coronavirus. The EU is taking steps to ensure Ukraine's access to vaccines as soon as possible," reads the message.
