The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will consider the draft amendment to the Constitution on country's entering into the EU and NATO on November 22, if the decisions of the Constitutional Court and profile committee are made. Andriy Parubiy, speaker of the parliament made such statement, as 112 Ukraine reported.
“Indeed, there is such information, that on Wednesday, the Constitutional Court will deliver a conclusion on the draft amendment to the Constitution on Ukraine's strategic direction and its entering to the EU and NATO. If the court and the committee make such decision, such chance will appear,” Paruby said.
On September 20, the Ukrainian parliament adopted a draft regulation on including the draft amendments to the Constitution concerning foreign policy into the agenda. 321 people’s deputies voted for.
The relevant bill provides for the amendments to the Constitution’s preamble. In compliance with this, Verkhovna Rada confirms Ukraine’s European identity and inconvertibility of the European and Euro-Atlantic policy.
