Ukraine’s Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights Valeriya Lutkovska arrived at the prison of the occupied Simferopol. This was reported by the Head of the Secretariat of the Ombudsman Bohdan Kryklyvenko on Facebook page.

"After 3 months and the last 2 days of particularly difficult negotiations we were able to get the opportunity to meet with political prisoners detained in Crimea, and also those prisoners who requested transfer to the mainland. We asked for a meeting with 42 people, but we got an opportunity to meet with three, including Akhtem Chyygoz, "he wrote.

Valeriya Lutkovska together with the Ombudsman of Russian Federation Tatyana Moskalkova is on the territory of the prison in Simferopol, according to him.

On December, 23 it became known that the Ombudsmen of Ukraine and Russia will visit prisoners. Earlier, the Representative of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Mykhailo Chaplyga said that Ukrainian side expects for the opportunity to visit Ukrainian citizens detained in Crimea, in particular Yevhen Panov.
