Ukraine's Ombudsman denies Russian information on Oleg's condition

The Ukrainian Ombudsman is concerned about conflicting information on the filmmaker's condition who is on a hunger strike for 44 days

Mykhailo Fedotov, the Chairman of the Presidential Council of the Russian Federation on the development of civil society and human rights assures that Oleg Sentsov is having mixtures for special diet in the Russian jail. The defense of the prisoner denies the information. The press office of Liudmyla Denisova, the Commissioner of the Ukrainian Parliament on human rights reports. 

Sentsov is being examined every day by the doctors, according to the Fedotov's letter to Denisova. A maintenance therapy (glucose solution, B and C vitamins, water-salt solutions) is prescribed and undertaken since May 25, 2018.

'Joint Doctor Consilium was held on June 8. The medical specialist of Labytnang city hospital rated Oleg Sentsov's condition as satisfactory. The doctor corrected the therapy and recommended Oleg to have the nutrition powders. Sentsov gave a written consent to have the nutritional powders. Nadiya Savchenko had the same powders at the time of her hunger strike,' reads the message. 

Dmytro Dinze, the attorney claimed that Sentsov wrote a letter where he agrees to have the supporting mixture in the case of the new crisis. 

'The conflicting information makes us remain distrustful to it. The information on Oleg's condition is being hidden from us that's all we know. I demand to be allowed to visit a man who is on a hunger strike for 44 days and whose life is on the edge between life and death,' Denisova claimed.

Oleg is experiencing problems with heart and kidney, Denisova claimed on June 21. 

Reportedly, the Secretary-General of Europe officially asked Putin to release Sentsov. 

Debates will be held on Ukrainian political prisoners in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
