The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is proposed to introduce special duties on anthracite, coal, oil products from the Russian Federation. The corresponding bill No. 5208 has already been registered in the parliament.
The document proposes to oblige the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to adopt acts on the introduction of special duties on anthracite, coal, oil products from Russia, as well as to report to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on how the Cabinet of Ministers used the instrument to reduce import dependence from the aggressor state provided by the law On Foreign Economic Activity.
After the law comes into force, the government is given three months to establish an indirect tax on imports of the corresponding energy resources from the Russian Federation. At the same time, the document itself does not contain any details about the possible amount of future fees. It must be determined by the Cabinet of Ministers.
As we reported earlier, the government of Russia made a decision to ban the import of railway wheels, pairs of wheels, and truck frames of wagons from Ukraine.
On Tuesday, February 9, the government of Russia extended the list of the production that is banned for import to Russia from Ukraine.
