Ukraine’s Cabinet appoints new Deputies of Minister of Veterans Affairs

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine appointed Oleksandr Tereshchenko, ‘cyborg’ that defended Donetsk airport, and Oksana Havryliuk, the former Head of the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, as deputies of the Minister of Veterans Affairs. Iryna Friz, the Minister of the newly created Ministry for Veterans Affairs, stated this during the government session on March 13, as the Ukrainian news report.

“Two new deputies, Oleksandr Tereshchenko and Oksana Havryliuk, were appointed to the post,” Friz said.

It is known, that Tereshchenko participated in defense of the Donetsk airport, where he got an eye trauma and lost his right arm and left hand in 2014. Nowadays, he is Head of the Mykolaiv regional organization the Association of ATO participants and invalids, he also works as Deputy Chief of the Academy of Patrol Police in the area of social and humanitarian issues in Kyiv. Tereshchenko is a member of several social organizations of veterans associations and owner of the International charity organization of Oleksandr Tereshchenko.

The newly appointed Deputy of Minister for Veterans Affairs Havryliuk have been working as Head of the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine for 2.5 years, now she is working for the charity organization the Information Resource Center.
