Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba believes that the Normandy format is still relevant, but there are problems in the negotiation process at the level of foreign ministers, TSN reports.
"Speaking on the level of foreign ministers, the format is alive, but it is in medication sleep. The credit goes to Russia’s Foreign Ministry,” said Kuleba.
It is noted that the first meeting between Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin within the Normandy format took place a year ago, and the second one is not even planned yet. However, the official assured that the situation was under control, but the process was moving slowly.
As we reported earlier, on December 28, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft law on Ukraine's withdrawal from the CIS agreement on intergovernmental courier relations.
It is believed that Kyiv's fulfillment of its obligations under the agreement may pose a threat to Ukraine's national interests, endanger the lives and health of Ukrainian special messengers who are located in Russia during the delivery of correspondence.
