The condition of the Ukrainian teenager, who was beaten in Paris last week, remains difficult, but there is a positive trend. This was announced by the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Oleh Nikolenko in a comment to Radio Svoboda.
"The consul is in constant contact with the relatives of the Ukrainian and the medical institution itself. The young man's condition remains severe, but there is a positive trend. Doctors are doing everything possible to rehabilitate him," the statement said.
As we reported earlier, a group of unknown attacked and brutally beat the Ukrainian teenager near the Eiffel Tower, not far from Beaugrenelle.
A dozen of the unknown attacked the group of students with metal sticks, bats, and knives. Everyone succeeded to escape except Yuriy.
As a result, Yuriy fell into a coma; however, the doctors succeeded to bring him out of this state.
The Ukrainian side has already addressed the Paris Prosecutor's Office with an official request regarding the brutal beating.
