Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has published its official reaction to the end of hostilities between Azerbaijan and Armenia in the Nagorno-Karabakh region. This was reported by the ministry's press service.
"Ukraine welcomes the cessation of hostilities by Azerbaijan and Armenia in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone," the statement said.
The Foreign Ministry stated that the next step should be to restore the stability and vitality of the region, as well as to continue international efforts in order to fully resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict on the basis of international law.
It was also noted that Ukraine supported the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan within internationally recognized borders.
As we reported earlier, on November 10, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev agreed to cease the war in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
"I signed a statement with the presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan on the end of the Karabakh war at 01:00. The text of the already published statement is indescribably painful for me personally and for our people. I made this decision based on an in-depth analysis of the military situation and assessment of people who know it best,” Pashinyan noted.
