Ukraine's MFA prepares offers on withdrawal from CIS, denunciation of agreement with Russia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine prepared the offers to the president on the withdrawal of Ukraine from the bodies of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and denunciation of the Agreement on friendship, cooperation and partnership between Ukraine and Russia. Pavlo Klimkin, the Foreign Minister reported this at the session of Ukrainian Parliament Committee for Foreign Affairs as Svitlana Zalishchuk, the MP reported on Facebook.

'Minister Pavlo Klimkin announced at our foreign affairs committee that the Foreign Ministry prepared the offers for the withdrawal from the bodies of the CIS and denunciation of the Agreement on friendship, cooperation and partnership between Ukraine and Russia. On the question when to expect such decisions, the minister said that the decision depends on the head of the state', Zalishchuk wrote.

Earlier Russia offered to denounce the Agreement on friendship, cooperation and partnership between Ukraine and Russia in the part where countries recognize the territorial borders of each other. Leonid Kravchuk, the first president of Ukraine commented this.

Ukraine offered to terminate this agreement during the preparation of the draft law on Donbas reintegration.
