The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine condemns another “humanitarian convoy” of Russia, which arrived in the territory of Donbas on November 22. Kateryna Zelenko, the Spokesperson of the Ministry reported on Twitter.

‘We firmly condemn another “humanitarian convoy” of the Russian Federation as a blatant and cynical violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. One more provocation despite the Minsk Agreements,’ reads the message.

According to the message of the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, trucks of “humanitarian” convoy entered Donbas on November 22. This is the 83rd so-called “humanitarian convoy”.

‘The convoys are loaded with 400 tons of humanitarian supplies consisting of children's food packages, medical equipment and medicines,’ the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia claimed. The press office has also advised that ‘all trucks of the convoy have been checked by the representatives of the customs and border control officials.

It is noteworthy that the movement of “humanitarian convoys” of Russia is implemented with a blatant transgression of norms of international and Ukrainian legislation, as well as the modalities agreed upon with the International Committee of the Red Cross, therefore the Ukrainian interdepartmental group carries out only visual observation without performing control functions. Military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine notes that after each arrival of the “humanitarian convoy” of the Russian Federation in the area of the hostilities in Donbas, the firing activity of militants increases.

Heather Nauert, Spokesperson of U.S. Department of State claimed that the humanitarian convoys sent by Russia to the territory beyond Ukraine’s control which did not pass the check are illegal.
