The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine commented on the publication of the results of the toxicological analysis of samples taken from Russian oppositionist Alexei Navalny. This was reported on the ministry’s website.
Thus, evidence of the presence of traces of the neuro agent from the Novichok group in the samples taken from Navalny was officially published.
"We strongly condemn the latest criminal act of the Russian authorities, which continue attacking democracy and human rights in Russia, as well as in other countries. We are convinced that the international community must respond appropriately to this inhumane massacre of the opposition politician by the Kremlin," the statement said.
The ministry also called for sanctions against Russia.
"Only a unanimous, resolute stance and a firm condemnation by the civilized world, including sanctions, can force the Russian authorities to stop committing crimes, brutally violating human rights and destroying the legal foundations of the world order for both leading opposition politicians and entire states," reads the message.
As we reported earlier, yesterday, on September 2, the Federal Government of Germany confirmed that Navalny had been poisoned with a chemical poisonous substance of neuro-paralytic agent from the Novichok group.
