Ukraine's interior minister does not show up for interview in case of possible attempt upon Yanukovych's life

Arsen Avakov, the Ukrainian minister for interior affairs did not show up for the interview to Prosecutor General's Office. He is currently the witness in the case of a possible attempt upon the life of ex-president Viktor Yanukovych in 2014. UNN news agency reported that with the reference to Serhiy Horbatyuk, the Head of Special Investigations Department of Prosecutor General's Office. 

'He was not there', Horbatyuk said.

Avakov was summoned for the interview, but for some reason did not appear there; nevertheless, he's currently in Kyiv.

Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine has been looking into the case, opened in May 2015. It stipulates that 'a group of unknown perpetrators committed deliberate acts aiming to conduct a homicide' in the period from February 21 till April 22. The target allegedly was the ex-president of Ukraine.

So far, not a single fact of an attempt upon the life of Yanukovych has been confirmed.
