Ukrainian Foreign Ministry hailed today’s resolution approved by the European Parliament

‘Having made such decision, the EU legal authority has once again shown its undisputed support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within the country’s internationally recognized borders. It also sent Russia another clear signal that the annexation of Crimea will never be recognized by the EU and its member countries,’ the Ministry’s press service said.

The Ukrainian authority also welcomed the European Parliament’s firm position and commitment of the European Parliament to the ongoing sanctions against Russia, which were imposed to the Kremlin for the annexation of Crimea.

The ministry urged Russia to immediately release the illegally detained Ukrainian citizens in Russia and Crimea; to stop the aggression against Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
