The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin informed Sigmar Gabriel, German Minister for Foreign Affairs, about the tense situation and attacks in Donbas despite the cease-fire, as he said in a joint press-conference with Gabriel, as Interfax-Ukraine reports.
“I gave a detailed description of the current situation in Donbas to Sigmar. It is very tense. We don’t have a real cease-fire. Only in the past few days, we had 60 attacks, over a third of them - from prohibited weapons. We lost three of our fighters, fifteen are wounded,” Klimkin said.
The new Christmas cease-fire agreement was introduced in Donbas on Dec 23. Since then, the militants have systematically violating it.
