Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba justified the launch of the Turkish drone Bayraktar in the Donbas conflict zone by the need for self-defense as Deutsche Welle reported.
"We have observed the necessary communication procedures through the Joint Center for Coordination and Control and with the OSCE in order to apply the right to self-defense," the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry stressed.
Regarding the concerns of the German Foreign Ministry about the use of drones in Donbas, Kuleba called on Berlin, as a supporter of a peaceful settlement of the conflict, to make assessments taking into account the full context of the situation.
As we reported, since the beginning of the day, October 27, Russian mercenaries violated the ceasefire in Donbas nine times. As a result of the shelling, one soldier was killed.
The Ukrainian military have deployed Bayraktar, the Turkey-made combat drone in the Donbas combat area for the first time. The UAV destroyed the cannon of Russian mercenaries.
German Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Andrea Sasse expressed concern that Ukraine has begun to use drones in Donbas, which is not provided by the Minsk agreements.
Ukraine's Ambassador to Germany Andriy Melnyk responded to the reproaches of the German Foreign Ministry for the use of Bayraktar drones by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donbas by justifying the actions of the Ukrainian army.
